sHOUSE™ Smart Cores and Smart Apps
Modified shipping containers become modular cores that “click” together sideways and stack vertically to create a virtually unlimited variety of low-cost and green building solutions. These Smart Cores are the structure of a building and arrive at the site pre-manufactured, pre-engineered and complete with interior and exterior finishes and utilities.
Smart Apps is a system of interchangeable exterior cladding and features such as balconies, stairways and elevator shafts. Inherent in this system is the flexibility to create a wide variety of structures which can be finished to blend into any locale.
The sHOUSE™ was designed to be manufactured in a prefabricated, code-engineered manner to maximize production and assembly efficiency and to reduce cost.
Two basic modules, used in different configurations and numbers, can create over 100 home floor plans. Unit A contains the utility core: kitchen, bathroom, laundry and bedroom. Unit B contains the dining and living areas and an additional bedroom.
